Welcome to my personal professional website. I am Gianluca Curti, a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the Italian film industry. My career started at a young age, driven by my family's legacy in filmmaking. I have been instrumental in expanding Minerva Pictures, a leading Italian film company established by my family. Through strategic commercial expansion and a focus on digital content exploitation, I have positioned our company at the forefront of the European audiovisual market. Our library hosts over 3,500 titles with international rights to 1,500 of them. I am committed to promoting Italian cinema across the globe by leveraging new media and platforms such as AppleTV and Amazon Prime Video.

About

Being part of Minerva Pictures has meant not only continuing a family tradition but also projecting the brand towards the future of digital cinema. Over the past decades, I have had the privilege of producing more than 80 films, documentaries, and TV series, contributing to the creation of one of the most significant content libraries in the European audiovisual industry. My vision has always focused on blending tradition and innovation, maintaining the excellence of Italian cinema while exploring new digital horizons.

Filmography

My cinematic career has been enriched by numerous works ranging from traditional to contemporary cinema. The ability to adapt and embrace new technologies has allowed me to rediscover the language of film, bringing to the screen stories that capture the cultural essence of both Italy and the international scene. My filmography reflects my commitment to quality and innovation, with many titles receiving recognition both at home and abroad.

My career has expanded through the production of a wide range of feature films, spanning various genres and collaborating with renowned national and international directors. Among my most recent works, in 2024, I contributed to projects such as Ciao bambino, directed by Edgardo Pistone, Reading Lolita in Tehran by Eran Riklis, The American Garden by Pupi Avati, and the TV movie Margherita of the Stars, directed by Giulio Base. Other significant titles include We Were Children by Marco Martani and Bang Bank, directed by the comedic trio I Ditelo Voi.

Among the projects in 2022 are The Hunt by Marco Bocci, Three Men and a Ghost by I Ditelo Voi, and Billie's Magical World and Kid Santa, both directed by Francesco Cinquemani. In earlier years, I had the privilege of working on projects such as Hammamet by Gianni Amelio (2019), Caliber 9 by Toni D'Angelo (2020), and Dogworld by Alessandro Celli (2021). Works like The Thief of Days (2019) and Let’s Be Friends (2019) marked significant milestones in my career, along with successful titles such as Finally Married (2018) and Falcons (2017).

Equally noteworthy are the works produced in the 2000s, including Fortapàsc by Marco Risi (2009), Tatanka by Giuseppe Gagliardi (2011), and There Below – Criminal Education by Guido Lombardi (2012). Among my earliest successes, I proudly recall the production of Scarlet Diva by Asia Argento (2000) and Buck at the Edge of the Sky by Tonino Ricci (1991).

The variety of projects I have undertaken reflects my passion for cinema and my commitment to contributing to the creation of meaningful and culturally impactful stories.

Projects

A cornerstone of my work has been the development of projects that enhance the value of Italian cinema abroad. Through initiatives such as Movieitaly+ and the SVOD channels on Amazon Prime Video, we aim to provide a global platform for Italian filmmakers.
